Nicholas Michael Wisecup, age 69 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020. He was born March 8, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Barbara Wisecup.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his second wife, Sally Wisecup.
Nick will be missed by his loving wife, Jacalyn; son, Nicholas "Dewey" Wisecup (Amanda Britton); brothers and sisters, Donna (Basil) Blizzard, Juanita Reed, Wilbur (Marguerite) Wisecup and David (Denise) Wisecup; many nieces and nephews; six step-children, 16 step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren from the Rettig family; two step-sons; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren from the Monroe family and many cousins.
Nick was a graduate of Stebbins High School where he played football. He was a very proud veteran of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, and served in the Vietnam War. He was a fourth generation veteran. During his career, he worked as a cab driver for over 30 years.
Nick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved animals, playing cards, playing scrabble on the computer, listing to music and sharing old songs, horse racing, and watching the History and Science channels. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Nick was a loving man who would do anything for anyone. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Family will receive friends Monday, October 5, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Due to Covid-19, private burial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
