Nevin E. Wagner

Nevin E. Wagner, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away on July 13, 2025, in Kettering, OH, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and passion for life. Born on August 1, 1944, in Dayton, OH, Nevin grew up in a nurturing household led by his devoted parents, A. Nevin and Shirley Wagner. He was the proud brother of the late Robert S. Wagner and the late Shirley W. Geidner, whose memories continued to warm his heart.

Nevin’s professional journey saw him become the owner of Wagner Wood Lumber Company, taking the reins following his father’s retirement. His dedication to the business was matched only by his commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for his employees and customers. Nevin’s work ethic was unparalleled, and he approached his responsibilities with the same vigor and determination he applied to his personal interests.

Known for his zest for life, Nevin was an avid skier and golfer, finding joy and exhilaration on the slopes and the greens. These activities not only brought him personal satisfaction but also offered him cherished moments shared with family and friends. He adored spending time with his beloved son, Edward Wagner, and fostered close relationships with his extended family, including nieces Donna (Michael) Green, Kathy (David) Klasing, and Laura Wagner, as well as nephew Mike Wagner. Nevin was surrounded by numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

His adventurous spirit and laughter will surely echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Nevin found fulfillment not only in his interests but in the connections he fostered; he brought light and joy into the lives of both family and dear friends. As we bid farewell to Nevin E. Wagner, we remember a man whose love for his family, passion for life, and dedication to his work made this world a brighter place. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey.
