Nathan Christian Popella

Nathan Christian Popella, age 24 of Riverside, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born October 31, 2001 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Jeff and Lora Popella.

Nate attended Stebbins High School where he was a member of the Junior ROTC program and worked as a Lifeguard for Eastview Pool. Nate was an explorer who loved to go camping and spend time outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed skateboarding and spending time with his beloved beagle, Stella. He never met a stranger and could make friends wherever he went. Nate will be remembered for his loving and giving nature, he was always willing to help someone in need.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lora Popella; and aunts, Cherie Dutiel and Cary Dutiel.

Nate is survived by his father, Jeff Popella; six siblings, Amber (Jordan) Wright, Jeffrey (Sarah) Popella, Marissa Popella, Nicholas (Alina) Popella, Destiny (Tyler) Kimmerly and Reagan Corey; nieces and nephew, Logan, Aubree and Ava; grandparents, Chloe & Andy Popella, Sandy Dutiel and Bill Stackhouse; uncles, Craig (Jenny) Dutiel, Mike (Linda) Popella, Perry Popella and Bart Stackhouse; aunt, Angil Lyons; cousins, AJ (Valerie) Popella, Justin (Ashley) Popella, Ashley Dillon and Isaac Dutiel; and numerous friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a service to follow at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
