Nancy Lynn Torrence

Nancy Lynn Torrence, age 77, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Opal Payne. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara and Kimberly; sister, Sandy and husband George Henkel; brother, Larry Payne; bonus sister, Leann Craig; bonus daughters, Evette, Julie, Holly, Pam, Lori, Tiffani, Leanne, TJ, and Julie. Special cousins, Karen & Ken Bridgeman, Gary & Joyce McMichael; nephew, Scott and his wife Beth Henkel and their children, Gabrielle and Colin; niece, Tonya Payne and son, Cole as well as several dear friends.

Nancy was born on November 21, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio and graduated Xenia High School in 1965. Nancy retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 43 years of dedicated support to our military. Her great loves were her family, her dogs and watching her girls play softball for many years. She was always our biggest fan. Nancy enjoyed casino trips with long time friend, Rita Williams and weekly Longhorn lunches with dearest friend, Dottie Washburn. Nancy never knew a stranger and was feisty, strong and kind.

Family will greet friends Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm with service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432) with a graveside prayer service following at Woodland Cemetery (281 Dayton Avenue, Xenia, Oh 45385).
