Nancy Spencer

Nancy Ann Spencer, age 78, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton.

Born on November 26, 1947, in Kettering, Ohio, Nancy lived a life dedicated to helping others through education, volunteerism, and unwavering love for her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Erma Brumfiel.

She is survived by her beloved son, Scott (Rachel) Doyle; her cherished grandchildren, Mikayla (Brady) Wilson, Pierce (Anna) Doyle, Hudson Doyle, and Danika Doyle; her brother, Dr. Bruce Brumfiel; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A proud graduate of Fairmont High School, Class of 1966, Nancy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Intermediate Education from the University of Cincinnati and later received her Master of Education Degree from Wright State University. She devoted 35 years of her career to educating young minds at Fairbrook Elementary School in Beavercreek, where she became known not only as an exceptional teacher but also as a compassionate mentor who willingly tutored and encouraged students beyond the classroom. Her patience, kindness, and commitment to helping children succeed left a lasting impact on countless families.

Outside of her professional life, Nancy enjoyed sewing and quilting, hobbies that reflected her creativity and attention to detail. She also loved participating in walkathons and 5K events and remained actively involved in her community through volunteer work. Nancy faithfully volunteered with Hospice, helping to provide Catholic Communion to patients, and participated in the Shoes for the Shoeless program, often sharing those meaningful experiences alongside her grandchildren.

Above all, Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her family and took great pride in the accomplishments and lives of her grandchildren. Her loving presence, generous spirit, and servant's heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
