Nancy Ellen (Raisch) Schneberger, age 84, passed away on Saturday October 19, 2024 in Centerville, Ohio. She was born in Columbus, Kansas to Virgil and Beulah Moon. She spoke fondly of her childhood family and farm memories. She attended high school at Independence Bible College, graduating in 1957. She obtained an Associate degree from Independence Community College in 1959 and a Bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas State College of Pittsburgh in 1962. She taught at the Independence Bible College.
In 1964 she married John J. Raisch in Haiti where they served as missionaries. Over their 30 years of marriage, she lovingly and faithfully focused on raising their 6 children, supported John in his missionary and business work and served God and others. Nancy worked at Wright State University in the engineering department as an administrative assistant.
Widowed for 3 years, Nancy married Ronald F. Ranck in 1997, lovingly caring for him. Widowed for almost 2 years, she married William “Bill” D. Schneberger in 2000. She retired from a rewarding career at Wright State University allowing more time to enjoy life, music and travel with Bill; pursue her passion for quilting; and share in the adventures of her children and grandchildren.
Her deep love for Jesus, kindness and humility allowed her to love and serve her family and others well. Throughout her life, she enjoyed cooking, baking, singing in the Fairhaven Church Choir, playing piano, gardening, needlework, walking and puzzles.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Raisch, Ronald Ranck and William Schneberger; and half-brother, James Thompson.
She is survived by: children, Mary (Kirk) Streitmater, Rebekah (David) Coombs, John (Melanie) Raisch, Paul Raisch, Stephen (Patti) Raisch, and David Raisch; daughter-in-law, Melissa Raisch; sister-in-law, Betty Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; Bill’s children, David (Pamela) Schneberger, Claudia (William) Potts, Katherine Harris, Mary Schneberger, William E. (Ruby) Schneberger and Elizabeth (Mark) Mumma; and Bill’s 17 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Village, Cherry Park and Hospice of Dayton for the excellent, compassionate care they provided.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Fairhaven Church (637 E Whipp Road, Centerville, OH 45459) followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Pastor Futrell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup cemetery. After the burial a reception will be held at Marion’s Piazza located at 8991 Kingsridge Drive, Dayton, OH 45458.
