Nancy "Louise" Masiongale

Nancy Louise Byrd Masiongale, age 80, of New Carlisle, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2018. Louise was born in Pickett County, TN to the late James Allen and Fannie Ammonett Pearl Byrd. She married J.T. Masiongale on May 29, 1954. The two shared many happy years together. Louise was a long time member of Medway Baptist Church. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and church. Above all, Louise loved to spend time with her family. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louise was a kind, caring, and compassionate, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brothers, William Byrd and James Byrd; sisters, Ordean Wright, Viola Byrd, Stella Garrett, Velma Watts, and Della Lee; and daughter-in-law, Linda Masiongale.

Louise leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 64 years, J.T. Masiongale; children, Jerry Maisongale, Gary Maisongale, Debra (Bill) Wehner, and Nelda (Darrell) Garrett; sister, Wanda (Willie) Lee; grandchildren, Gary (Kateri), Gina (Jerry), Sunshine, Amanda (Kurtis), and Renee; great-grandchildren, Jerry (Kara), Tianna, Alyssa, Alexis, Braydon, and Maya; great-great-granddaughter, Kameron; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A celebration of Louise's life will be held at Newcomer - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) at 11am on Saturday, October 6, 2018. A visitation will be held for two hours prior (9am - 11am) at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

To bring awareness to Breast Cancer Month, the family requests that everyone wear pink to honor Louise and her fight against the disease.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise's memory to the American Cancer Society.
