Nancy J. Shafer

Nancy J. Shafer, age 77 of West Milton, Ohio went to be with the Lord, peacefully with her family by her side on July 12, 2025. She was born November 11, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Betty Earley.

Nancy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. In her younger years she enjoyed showing dogs at various dog shows. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, cooking, quilting, and photography. She had a passion for the nature center, bird and butterfly counting, the walking club, and volunteering at Bruckner. Nancy's pride and joy was her family and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Phil Shafer; and brother, Steve Earley.

She is survived by her children, Kenny (Ginny) Craft, Mark Shafer, Jodie (Steve) Hineman, Wendy (Doug) Wilson, and Jeff (Erika) Wilson; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Anne Bobincheck and Vicki Evans; brother, John Earley; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10am-11am at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Avenue, Middletown, Ohio 45044. A memorial service will begin at 11am also at the church with scattering service to follow.
