Nancy A Davidson

Nancy A Davidson, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 5, 1938, in Jackson, Kentucky, Nancy devoted her life to her family and the joys found in nature and community involvement.

Throughout her life, Nancy found delight in the simple yet profound pleasures of bird watching, gardening, tending to her flowers, and fishing. Her active participation in her community was a testament to her generous spirit and dedication to those around her. She wore her gentleness and kindness with grace, attributes that endeared her to many.

Nancy's life was marked by an enduring love and commitment to her family—her proudest accomplishments. She was united in marriage for 61 years to her beloved husband, Lavaughn Davidson, who preceded her in death in 2017. Together, they built a legacy grounded in love and devotion.

She is survived by her loving children, Anthony (Tina) Davidson and Jennifer (Mark) Wunderlich; her cherished grandchildren, Lindsey Davidson, Nick Evans, Brandon Wunderlich, and Cameron Wunderlich; and her sister, Beverly Roe. Nancy is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who valued her warmth and compassion.

Nancy was born to Bertha and Arlie New and was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Robert New, Clifford New, and Arnold New.

Those who knew Nancy here remember her as a gentle soul who faced her struggles with remarkable strength and grace. Despite enduring tremendous pain, she maintained a smile and a sharp sense of humor until her final days. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The visitation for Nancy A Davidson will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. This will be followed immediately by her funeral service at the same location at 1:30 PM. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery Dayton.
