Myra Jolane Smith

Myra Jolane Smith, age 84 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2025. She was born November 25, 1940 in Wilder, Tennessee daughter of the late A.P. and Mattie Ford.

Myra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She was a faithful and devout Christian attending Northridge Free Will Baptist Church for several years where she also sang in the choir. Myra will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Myra was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Billy Smith; sister, Alice Gibson; brothers, Billy Ford, Bobby Ford, and Randall Ford.

She is survived by her children, Myra (Bruce) Willis, Sheila (Mike) Johnson, Kim (T.R.) Barnett, Bradley Smith, Cheryl (Bill) Dixon, and Darrell (Kristy) Smith; grandchildren, Heather (Roy), Andy (Danielle), Trey, Kaleigh, Karly, Mallie, Scott, Mike (Angie), Billy, Alicia (Mike), Brandy (Terry), and Brittany; several great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth (Bruce) Kilby and Jimmie Sue Crockett; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5-7pm at Northridge Free Will Baptist, 4800 Payne Avenue Dayton, Ohio 45414.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11am also at the Church. Burial to follow at Poplar Cemetery.
