Monique L. Brewer was a loving, hardworking, and devoted mother, sister, and friend. She showed her love through cooking and found so much joy in feeding the people who meant the most to her. She shared her love through every meal she made and every moment she spent with those she cared about. She had an outgoing personality and was always the life of the party. Her laughter, kindness, and love will forever be remembered.
We will continue to keep your memory alive, just as we have done with Mommy's. You two are together again, watching over us and keeping us safe. We love you always. 🕊️
Monique leaves behind her three beautiful children: Dyamond Lewis, 27 (Josh); Jossalyn Borders, 9; and Rowan Borders, 6. Don't you worry, Monique—we will take care of those babies for you. Pinky promise.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Vanessa Wilcox, 43 (Matthew Wilcox Sr.), and Gabrielle Buck, 39 (Jeremy Buck); her cherished nieces and nephews, Matthew Wilcox Jr. (Jaquell), Tyler Wilcox, Samara Wilcox (Cole), Landen Buck, Malachi Taylor, Luciano Taylor, and Laycie Buck; along with many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Monique was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ellen L. Townsend, whom she longed to be reunited with when her time came.
As we navigate this unimaginable loss, any support given will help with Monique's final expenses and provide care and support for her two minor children, Jossalyn and Rowan. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, act of kindness, and contribution during this incredibly difficult time.
Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing you are home. Your love, your spirit, and the memories you gave us will live on forever. Until we meet again, we love you beyond words and will miss you every single day. 🕊️
The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public service, individual families are encouraged to plant sunflowers in her memory.
