Mohinder Singh Kahlon

Mohinder Singh Kahlon left for heavenly abode on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home in Beavercreek Ohio. He moved to USA along with his wife of 49 years, Amrik Kahlon in year 2005.
He was born in 1939 in Gurdaspur, Punjab and witnessed the partition of India in 1947. After graduation from Gurdaspur college he completed his Masters in Punjabi from Punjabi University Patiala in 1964 and worked in Department of Linguistics as an educationist and worked tirelessly for the promotion of Punjabi in his home state.
A dedicated husband and a loving father he leaves behind a lot of fond memories to cherish. Besides his wife,he is survived by son, Gurjeet Kahlon and daughter in-law, Daman Kahlon; daughter, Ripu Rai and son in-law Sonny Rai and four grandkids, Sargun, Arshaan, Jasmine and Aneil.
The funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 3940,Kettering Blvd. Kettering OH 45439 on Saturday, March 14, 2020. 9:30 AM Prayers and Respects. 10:30 AM Viewing. This will be followed by Paath and langar(lunch) at Sikh Center of Dayton, 2522 Nutter Park Drive, Beavercreek at 11:45 AM.
