Minnie Beatrice Goodloe, affectionately known as "Nana", was born on January 5, 1935, in Homer, Louisiana. She departed this life on September 22, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. She lived an inspiring life dedicated to uplifting those around her through her profound spirituality and her unwavering faith.

Minnie was a beloved minister, known for her ability to bring comfort and joy to others through her prayers and thoughtful words. Her presence was a source of strength and inspiration to family, friends, and members of her cherished Bethesda Temple, where she passionately worshipped. Minnie's positive spirit and dedication to her faith made her the matriarch and the backbone of her family, a role she embraced wholeheartedly and with great love.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Judge and Sarah Ferrell; her husband, John Alvin Goodloe, Sr.; her daughter, Chandra Goodloe; and three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Goodloe, John Alvin Goodloe, Jr., and Darryl (Lisa) Goodloe. Her grandchildren, Deuone Goodloe, Tiffany Goodloe, and Charlia Goodloe, carry her spirit forward along with her great-grandchildren: Austin Moore, Jordan Thuma, Alexjandria Goodloe, Darius Goodloe, Tamya Bradley, Jamarrion Davis, Ja'nya Watkins, Mari'L Cooper, Madisyn Goodloe, Promiss Lane, and Phillip Lane. Additionally, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends will cherish the memories they shared with her.

The family will honor Minnie's life with a visitation on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:30 PM at Bethesda Temple, located at 3701 Salem Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Dayton National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

Minnie Beatrice Goodloe's warmth, love, and unwavering faith touched countless lives. As we remember her, let us hold dear the lessons she taught us about compassion, faith, and the power of connection.
