Milta "Jane" Leighty

Milta "Jane" Leighty, age 69, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. Born on October 12, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, Jane was a devoted Christian who touched the lives of many through her unwavering faith and kindness.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband, David Allen Leighty; children, Jon Berryman, Janelle Sexton, and David G. Leighty; grandchildren, Dean Parks and Ollie Graybeal; sisters, Lisa Bailey, Cindy (Joe) Hermosillo, and Alice (Joe) Van Hook; aunt, Juanita Eastman; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever remember her spirit and warmth.

As a person who radiated friendliness and compassion, Jane was known to be the friendliest person one could ever meet. Her devotion to her family and friends was evident in the love she shared and the relationships she nurtured, especially with her grandchildren.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Etha Rose (Warner) Berryman and her step-son, Christopher Leighty.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. Family and friends may visit from 6:00PM until the time of service.

Jane will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
