Mildred Louise Vorwerck, née Calvert, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, in Clark County. Born on December 19, 1931, in Illinois, Mildred’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Mildred was known by all who knew her as the life of the party—radiant with joy, endlessly caring, vibrant and dignified, and kind to everyone she met. Her compassionate spirit touched many hearts, as she always found ways to uplift those around her through her thoughtful actions and gentle nature.

Her career journey reflected her dedication and work ethic, beginning with many years spent at Elder Beerman’s as a data entry clerk. Later, she brought her talents to Ryan Homes, where she served as a Sales Coordinator, proving herself to be both professional and approachable in her roles. Yet, beyond her professional accomplishments, Mildred’s proudest legacy was her role as a loving and devoted mother. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, embodying selflessness and maternal grace in every moment.

Mildred’s family was the cornerstone of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lisa (Larry) Snyder and Carol (Josh Gold) Jeffers, who carry forward her strength and warmth. She shared an unbreakable bond with her twin sister, Marian Morner, and her sister Patricia Heater, who remained by her side in love and memory. Mildred was predeceased by her sister Judith Morison and her beloved parents, Wilbur and Sarah Calvert.

Her heart extended beyond her immediate family to her cherished grandchildren, Melanie Jeffers and Amy Snyder, and her great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Dague and Brian Dague III, all of whom were constant sources of pride and joy. Mildred’s circle of love also included her best friend, Diane Lutey, whose friendship meant the world to her, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Mildred Louise Vorwerck leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and love that will continue to inspire everyone who had the blessing to know her. Her warmth and compassion, combined with her joyful spirit, made her a beacon of light in the lives of so many. As we remember her, we honor a woman whose life was a true testament to love’s enduring power. May her soul find eternal peace, cherished deeply by all who loved her.
