Mildred Leona Kelly

Mildred Leona Kelly, a beloved homemaker and cherished friend to many, left this world on October 3, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on October 25, 1927, in Gallipolis, Ohio, her journey illuminated the lives of those around her. Known for her generous spirit and affectionate nature, Mildred was a true spitfire whose vibrant personality made an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Mildred dedicated herself to her family and community. As a devoted mother, her only child, Stephen Filer, held a special place in her heart. She also shared cherished moments with her brother, Marc Brownell, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored her deeply.

Mildred's commitment extended beyond her family, as she selflessly volunteered at Greene Memorial Hospital and served as a Gray Lady with the Red Cross. Her compassion for others was evident in all that she did, creating joy and warmth wherever she went. Mildred's laughter and kindness were infectious, bringing light to many lives.

Mildred is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Richard F. Kelly MD, who was her partner in life and love. She joins her cherished parents, Walton and Margaret Brownell, and her siblings, Lois Jean Alley, Walton E. Brownell, and Lowell Thomas Brownell, in heaven.
