Michele Lee Wilder

Michele Lee Wilder, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on September 20, 2026. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and will be remembered as a woman whose life was centered on love, family, and caring for others.

Michele graduated from Fairborn High School in 1993. Her life’s work was devoted to her family, and she embraced what she considered the toughest job of all: being a stay-at-home mother and homeschooling mother to her 11 children. Her proudest accomplishment was her family, and that devotion could be seen in the daily ways she poured herself into the people she loved most.

She found joy in taking care of her family, cooking, junk journaling, gardening, reading, sun tanning, and playing dice and cards. Her playful spirit showed itself in family contests to see who could become the most tan, and those lighthearted moments will remain treasured memories for all who knew her. Michele was funny, kind, loving, compassionate, selfless, goofy, a caregiver, and giving. She was the kind of person who would help anyone in need, and her warmth left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to share in her life.

Above all, Michele was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Steven, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. Together they built a large and loving family, and she leaves behind their children: Abigail (Shaun) Williams, Emily (Wayne) Magill, Aaron (Hailey Smith) Wilder, Olivia Wilder, Sophia Wilder, Jake (Anglin) Wilder, Joshua Wilder, Johannah Wilder, Katelyn Wilder, Caleb Wilder, and Evan Wilder. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Oliver, Eleanor, Mabel, Shepherd, Annie, Wesley, Benjamin, and Paisley, each of whom added to the joy of her life.

She was devout in her faith and carried that with her in her everyday life. 

Michele is also survived by her father, Dennis Brest; her mother, Jana (Ron)  Blades; her sisters, Aimee (Clay) Sparks and Stephanie (Patrick) Bluso; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Betsie Wilder; and her sister-in-law, Jackie (Bryan) McCloud as well as multiple nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Wilder; her grandparents, Paul Brest, Joan Brest, and Mirella Lane. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Enon Cemetery. 

Michele’s life was a beautiful reflection of love in action. She gave of herself freely, laughed easily, and created a home filled with care, humor, and enduring devotion. Her memory will be carried forward in the family she cherished so deeply, and in the countless lives touched by her kindness.
