Michael D. Moore

Michael Dale Moore, age 61 of New Carlisle, passed away February 18, 2017. He was born April 24, 1955 in Xenia to the late Gobelle and Alma Moore. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ruth Moore; and son, Chad Mullenix.

Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Moore of New Carlisle; children: Brian (Becky) Moore, Jason Moore, Lora (Dana) McDowell, Brandon (Brandy) Moore and Megan (Ronnie) Rawson; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sisters: Bev (Ray) Maynard, Pam (Eddie) Ferguson, Debbie (Bill) Buttery, Donna (Dana) Worthington and Bobbie (Phil) Carter; brothers: Steve (Lori) Moore and Matt Moore; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked at WPAFB for several years. He was a construction worker for many years and retired from the Labor's Union # 1410 in 2011. After his retirement, Mike was the "Scrap Metal Man" for his neighborhood.

Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm. Contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the American Cancer Society.
