Michael Charles Jones
January 17, 1960 — April 22, 2018
After a long courageous battle with cancer, Michael C. Jones, age 58, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, April 22'nd at his home in Xenia, Ohio.
Mike was born January 17, 1960 to the late Bernise and Charles Jones and lived most of his life in Ohio. After graduating from Xenia High School, Mike joined the military where he completed a 20 year military career as an Electronic Technician for the U.S. Navy.
Receiving a double lung transplant in 2007 afforded him not only the chance to enjoy almost 11 more years with his family but also the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree from Wilmington College in 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Christine Jones, his two brothers Tom and Phil Jones, his children Michael Jones Jr., Patrick Jones, Heather Milton, Christopher Jones, and Jason Jones, and his grandchildren Alan Jones, Gaven Milton, and Bryson Milton.
Visitation with family will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd., Beavercreek from 3-4pm on Sunday, April 29th with a service to follow from 4-5pm at the same location officiated by Pastor John Lockwood.
