Harakay, Michael Brent "Mike" age 74, of Kettering, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 12, 1946 to the late Michael Paul and Janet Harakay (nee Lehman).
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Harakay; and sister, Karen Davis.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Lynn Howell, step-children, Carrie (Eddy) Blanco, Ross (Lori Williams) Stambaugh, Bion Stambaugh; step-grandchildren, Ellen, Elias, Evan Blanco; sister-in-law, Dory Harakay; and a host of other family members and friends.
Mike proudly served in the United States Navy. He enlisted during the Vietnam War completing four cruises to the Gulf of Tonkin on the USS Constellation. Mike was an avid military history buff.
In loving memory of Mike, contributions may be made to National Museum of the U.S. Air Force or SICSA.
Memorial Christian Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Helen's Parish, 605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431.
Mike will be laid to rest by the United States Navy with burial at sea.
