Michael David Edwards

Michael “Mike” David Edwards, of Xenia, passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 59. He was a graduate of Yellow Springs High School class of 1985. Michael served in the United States Air Force as Air Crew Life Support and Journeymen for 8 years. He was employed by Walmart in Xenia as a pharmacy technician.

Throughout his life and military service, Michael lived all over the country, making lifelong friends along the way. He enjoyed technology and gadgets, specifically computers. He was an avid guitar player and a lover of music. Mike loved gaming on his computer and getting together with family for family game nights. He also loved camping and going to Pigeon Forge.

He is preceded in death by his parents Craig and Merry Edwards, brother Mark Edwards, stepmother Dorothy “Sue” Edwards, brother-in-law Kurt Swogger, and step nephew Cornelius “Neal” Selke.

Mike is survived by his sisters Lynn (Tim) Tobey of Sharps Chapel TN, Leigh Swogger, of Xenia, Kara (Sean) Campbell, of Corwin, step siblings Shari (Todd) Selke, of Irmo SC, Tom (Erica) Osterholm, of West Grove PA, Scott Osterholm of Yellow Springs, nephews and niece; Craig Tobey, Elizabeth Tobey, Ryan Guthrie, Casey Guthrie, Kyle (Jessica) Campbell, and Jorden Campbell, step nieces and nephew Karleigh (Matt) England, Andrea (Jim) Doty, TJ (Megan) Selke, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek Ohio on Sunday July 13, 2025 between 6 and 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on July 16, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held immediately after, at the Dayton National Cemetery. All friends and family are welcome.
