Michael V. Denault, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 25, 2025, in West Milton, Ohio, at the age of 84. Born on January 28, 1941, in Adams, Massachusetts, Mike's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit, a heart full of love, and a corny sense of humor that his family still remembers with laughter.

Mike dedicated an impressive 42 years of his life to NCR, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting impact. He graduated from Westerly High School in Westerly, Rhode Island, and quickly became known not just for his intellect but also for his unique personality. A true handyman at heart, he always found joy in keeping everything—including his well-kept yard and meticulously maintained cars—in exceptional shape. He could often be found taking long drives, exploring new roads, and supporting his family by ensuring that everything was working just right, all while sharing his funny, goofy sense of humor.

Mike was a member of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. Family was central to his life. He shared a loving partnership with his wife, Janice Denault, for an incredible 60 years. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and warmth, creating treasured memories with their three children: Gregory Denault (Debra), Jacquelyn Denault (Sean Mullaney), and Christine Guevara (Hector). His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he is survived by his grandchildren: Ava Denault, Christian Denault, Jacob Denault, Lydia Guevara, Elena Guevara, and Peter Guevara. Each moment spent with them was a testament to the love he had for his family, inspiring them with his wisdom and incredible spirit.

Mike's siblings, Pamela Manner (Ed) and Candice Wreidt (Chris), alongside many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, will honor his memory, carrying forward the lessons of kindness and humor he instilled in them. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dora Denault; his brother, Kevin Denault; and his sister, Judith Burke.

As we remember Mike, we celebrate a life well-lived—one rich with laughter, love, and cherished moments. His legacy will continue in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us all to find joy in the simple things and to protect those we love.

The family will hold a funeral mass Monday, August 11, at 11:00am, Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 4134 Cedar Ridge Rd., Dayton, OH 45414. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
