Michael Pat Cooksey

Michael "Mike" Pat Cooksey died surrounded by family at the VA hospice in Dayton Ohio on Sunday, June 1, 2025 . 

His wife Jane Cooksey and son Richard Nelson Cooksey preceded him in death. 

He is survived by his daughter Jenny, step children Jenny, Jeff, & Niki, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. 

Mike was in the Signal Corps of the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He then worked at Ohio Bell until retirement when he joined his best friend Mike Taylor to work at Taylor Tool and Die. 

Mike found his soulmate in his wife Jane. They spent many years traveling, relaxing at Indian Lake, hanging out at the Veterans Organizations with friends, and just enjoying being with each other. 

Mike did not wish to have a grave service, funeral, or burial. Instead, he believed memorials should be built in the hearts of survivors, and nothing could be better than to be remembered by family and friends.
