Michael Clawson, a beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend, left this world on July 6, 2025, at the young age of 32. Born on November 3, 1992, in Dayton, Ohio, Michael grew up surrounded by love and laughter in a close-knit family. He was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him, known for his selfless spirit and a smile that could melt the hardest of hearts.
Michael graduated from Wayne High School and JVS in 2011, a testament to his dedication and pursuit of knowledge. He embraced life with a passionate enthusiasm, reveling in the joys of fishing with his papaw, playing video games, indulging in music, and cherishing time spent with family and friends. His adventures took him traveling, creating memories that he held dear.
Resounding throughout his life was an unwavering faith in the Lord, guiding his actions and interactions. Michael was kind, loving, generous, and fiercely loyal, traits that drew people to him like a moth to a flame. He had a stubbornness that often fueled his determination; once he set his mind to something, he pursued it relentlessly.
Michael leaves behind a profound legacy of love. He is survived by his devoted mom, Candy Smith, and his additional mom, Carolyn Clawson, who both cherished him deeply. His grandparents Jackie, Jim, and Sue provided him with unwavering support.
Siblings close to his heart: Von and Des
From the start: Andrew, Ashley, Simon, Greg and Masi.
Along the way: Bitty, Quinn, DJ, Ri, and EJ.
The bond they shared was one forged in laughter, joy, and mutual support, and their memories together will forever remain etched in their hearts.
Michael’s legacy extends beyond family, as he had an extensive network of aunts and uncles, including Donna (Dustin) who always said "he was her baby before she had babies", Pam, and Charlie, along with Nikki and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. His spirit will continue to inspire those who remain.
He has been welcomed into the arms of his beloved grandparents Betty and Earl, Faye and Shorty, along with many other cherished family members who have gone before him. Though they are parted, the love they shared transcends beyond this life.
