Michael Allen "Mike" Cox, born on January 4, 1961, at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, passed away on August 10, 2025, in New Carlisle, Ohio. He leaves behind a legacy of culinary excellence and heartfelt community service.
Mike was a distinguished professional chef, known for his expertise and creativity in the kitchen. He honed his skills at esteemed establishments such as the Dayton Country Club and the Dayton Racquet Club, where his passion for food melded with his dedication to providing exceptional dining experiences.
Beyond his culinary career, Mike was an advocate and had unwavering support for his fellow residents at Vancrest of New Carlisle.
In his personal life, Mike enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Karen Cox, to Hawaii, where they created cherished memories together. He also had a profound love for fishing, which offered him solace and joy in nature.
Mike is survived by his siblings, John Cox and Susan Macy, along with his nephew and nieces: Justin Cox, Amanda Mulkey, Kayla Castle, and Briana Terrell. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Karen, and his parents, Leo and Teiko Cox.
Following Mike's wishes, there will be no services held.
