Micah Phillip Chizever was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 23, 1995 to Hirsch and Tracy (Nemeth) Chizever. He was a 2013 graduate of Beavercreek High School and graduated with honors from Wright State University in 2017 with a major in history and a minor in Spanish. He also attended the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain and supported humanitarian work in Honduras in 2018. Micah enlisted in the US Army Infantry on January 29, 2019. After Infantry training Micah completed the Army's jump school at Ft Benning, GA and received the US Military Parachutist Badge. He joined the US Army Airborne and was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Airborne Regiment at the US Army Garrison Bavaria, in Grafenwöhr, Germany. On July 30, 2019 at the tender age of 24, SPC Micah Phillip Chizever completed his final and most important mission, having entered into glory to spend eternity with his Lord.
Micah was truly loved and will forever be missed by his parents, Hirsch (Cathy) Chizever and Tracy Chizever, brothers Eli Chizever and Kevin (Marci) Nattinger, aunts Kenda Nemeth, Michelle Chizever and Tricia (Hugo) Perez, and uncle Wally (Jill) Nemeth, and cousins Garrett Hockney, Haley and Hope Nemeth, and Nicole (Andrew Phillippi) Hockney. Micah was preceded in death by his grandparents Larry and Donna Nemeth and Ronald and Linda Chizever, and uncle Marc (Claudia) Nemeth.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Micah's honor to the USO (www.uso.org/donate) or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek, Ohio. A funeral service will be held for Micah on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11 AM at Far Hills Church, 5800 Clyo Road in Centerville, Ohio. A reception will immediately follow at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 6245 Wilmington Pike in Centerville, Ohio.
"The family would be honored if all active and retired military and first responders attending the viewing, ceremony or reception to wear their dress uniforms if possible in honor of their son."
