Merrin Frost, affectionately known as "Suzie," passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on May 8, 1959, in Hyden, Kentucky, Suzie’s life was marked by a deep sense of faith, unwavering love for family, and a vibrant spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A graduate of Kawaood High School, Merrin devoted 23 years of her professional career to retail, working with Once Upon A Child where she was known for her dedication and warm customer service. Beyond her work, Suzie carried herself with a unique blend of southern charm and bold style, often remembered for her beloved leather jackets and elegant mink coat that mirrored the spark and tenacity she displayed every day.
Merrin's personality was a beautiful tapestry of strength, kindness, and generosity. She was a proud Christian woman whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her Bible was ever present, often open to different scriptures as she prayed sincerely for everyone she encountered. Those who knew Suzie admired her stubborn spark, a spirit fierce in love and loyalty. She embraced life with open arms, a warm smile, and an open heart, never allowing anyone to go home empty-handed.
Her hobbies reflected her nurturing nature: she delighted in gardening, lovingly growing her own vegetables, and found peace listening to the gentle tones of her wind chimes. Her affection extended to her miniature dachshunds, especially Coco, whose passing brought sorrow yet, as believed by her loved ones, reunited her at the gates of heaven.
Merrin Frost "Suzie" leaves behind two loving sons, Raymond Frost (Brandi Minor) and Michael Frost, who continue to carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She was a cherished grandmother to Courtney (Landon), Christopher “Sonny,” Cameron, Payge, Joshua, Hayden, and Baze, who were the light of her life. Suzie was also surrounded by a host of other family members and friends who felt privileged to have shared in her journey.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Woodrow and Darlene Brown, and her devoted husband, Raymond Frost. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who mourn her passing.
Merrin Frost’s life was one of profound faith, generosity, and enduring love-a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered for the warmth and strength she imparted to every soul she touched.
