Melissa Rhoden, age 45 of Dayton, passed away April 16, 2016. She was born March 28, 1971 in Dayton to Connie and Dave Rhoden. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Effie and Fred Stacy and Robert Rhoden; and uncle, Wesley "Fred" Stacy.
In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by her grandmother, Dona Rhoden; brothers: John Rhoden and Matt Rhoden; aunts: Barb Robison, Cathy Skeen and Sharon Stacy; and many cousins and friends.
Melissa currently worked for Project Mobility with RTA. She was very passionate about rescuing animals. Melissa was a former employee at Airway Animal Clinic and the Dayton Humane Society.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral, from 12-1 pm. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
