Maureen Deanna Weaver, born on April 5, 1938, in Montgomery, departed this life on February 28, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy characterized by her dedication to both her family and her profession as a surgical nurse.
For an impressive 25 years, Maureen devoted herself to caring for others as a surgical nurse at Miami Valley Hospital and several other esteemed institutions. Her commitment to her work not only exemplified her professional excellence but also her compassionate spirit, touching countless lives throughout her career.
Maureen was a proud graduate of Julienne High School and earned her Associate's Degree from Kettering College of Medical Arts, paving the way for her impactful nursing career. Her education laid the foundation for a life filled with purpose and service to others.
A woman of many interests, Maureen enjoyed the game of golf, celebrating the thrill of making a hole in one during her leisure time. Together with her husband, Philip, a certified General Aviation Pilot, she cherished their many travels, making memories that would last a lifetime. Sharing experiences such as watching sunsets, admiring birds and flowers, and attending performances by the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra enhanced her love for life and showcased her appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Philip A. Weaver; two daughters, Beverly Sue (Michael) Haase and Julie Lynn (Gerald) Novak; a granddaughter, Audrey (Ray) Pearsall; and three grandsons, Michael Haase, Gordon Novak, and Jeremy Novak. Additionally, she is survived by numerous other family and friends who will greatly miss her presence.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Pettus; father, Clifford Heeter; and brother, Douglas Heeter.
A visitation in honor of Maureen will take place on March 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at David's Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, located at 4600 Mad River Rd, 45429.
