Matthew King Volkman, 55, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away suddenly on July 9th, 2020. He was born in Rock Island, Illinois on April 14th, 1965 to the late Merl and Betty King Volkman.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Rosemary Watson Volkman and step-brother, Steve Watson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Brannan) Volkman; his brother, Marc (Lore) Volkman, Grand Prairie, Texas; step-brother, Jim (Joan) Watson, Heath, Texas; step-sister, Mary (Mike) Morton, Matoon, Illinois; several aunts, uncles, cousins; Kim's family; and many friends.
Matt was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the F.O.E. #1698, Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Freemason.
He enjoyed so many things in life: fishing, scuba diving, camping, bird-hunting with his favorite English Setter, Belle, photography, and long weekend drives with Kim.
We will have a Celebration of Life Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 682 W 2nd St, Xenia, OH. Burial will be held Friday at the Dayton National Cemetery.
Matt was loved by so many and will be missed by everyone.
