Matthew A. "Matt" Trickett, born October 4, 1966, in Minot, North Dakota, passed away on May 17, 2026. Matt was a dedicated professional who worked in IT within the logistics sector, demonstrating commitment and expertise throughout his career.

A proud graduate of Fairborn High School, Matt went on to attend the University of Texas, Austin on a track scholarship before completing his bachelor's degree at Wright State University. Known for his remarkable athleticism, he still holds the Fairborn High School record for the fastest mile at 4 minutes and 12 seconds and completed a marathon purely for the joy of running.

Matt’s passions extended beyond his career and sports; he had an avid love for music of all genres and was known for his great sense of humor and fondness for Monty Python. Above all, he cherished his role as a grandfather and treasured every moment spent with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, April Ostendorf; parents, Philip and Virginia Trickett; brother Andrew F. Trickett and wife Lesia; sisters Victoria C. Trickett and husband Stanley, Cynthia J. Trickett and partner Jeffrey; sons Cory A. Ostendorf and wife Chelsey, Andrew A. Trickett and wife Mercedes; daughters Katelyn E. Trickett, Kassidy E. Williams and husband Cody, Kyndall E. Trickett and husband DJ; and Five Grandchildren, along with numerous other family and friends who held him dear.

He was preceded in death by his Beloved Grandparents, Arthur and Virginia Gonzalez.

Matt’s life was marked by passion, dedication, and joy, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. Services will be kept private.
