Mary Alice Willis

Mary Alice Willis (nee Craig), passed away on June 21, 2026 in Fairborn, Ohio. She was born August 29, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents, Martha Elizabeth Craig (nee Brown) and Thurman Arthur Craig. She was the first of six sisters: Sandy, Linda (Lynn), Carolyn (Key), Sarah, and Deborah.

She married Jerry R. Willis on December 16, 1963 in Shirley, Indiana. She went on to become a military spouse, a nursing school graduate, and mother to son, Christopher; daughter, Anne; and a doting grandmother to grandson, Andrew Siler.

Mary was a loving, intelligent, competent, beautiful woman who touched countless lives; both in her role of military spouse, and especially in her career as an LPN. She was an exceptional cook, and had a special talent for baking. She also had a decades long passion for genealogy and wrote several books about both her extensive family lineage, and her husband's. Mary loved to share her many gifts, and was always a bright spot at family gatherings and social functions.

As per her request, there will be no memorial service.
