Mary Elease Puckett, age 84 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Soin Medical Center. She was born September 11, 1936 in Gainesboro, Tennessee the daughter of the late Omar and Thena (Ellis) Coffee.
Along with parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Puckett; siblings, Bobby Coffee, Judy Brown and Betty Hicks.
Mary is survived by her children, Diane (Dale) Canada, Sharon O'Neil and Patty Cummings; grandchildren, Joy McDonald, John O'Neil, Kellie Hennessey and Kyle Cummings; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey Coffee; sister, Jean Holderman; special family friends, Janet and Bill Charles; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Mary was a talented quilter who made quilts for all her family and friends. She loved to hand quilt her blankets instead of using a sewing machine. Mary enjoyed baking and her family will remember her famous "Holy Cow Cake" and peanut butter fudge.
A private family service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Willard.
