Mary Martin

Mary Theresa Martin, age 71 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 30, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Michael and Theresa Sweeney.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years; Thomas Martin; son, Matthew (Amy) Sweeney; sister, Rene Tatka; niece, Grace (Lonnie) Martin, two great-nieces, Emilia and Lila Martin; grandchildren, Joshua (Maria) Sweeney, Regan Sweeney, Shaun Sweeney, Erin Sweeney, Leah Sweeney, Dominic Sweeney; great grandchildren, Emma, John, and Thomas. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Mary graduated from Julienne High School in 1971 and later went on to work in finance for NCR Credit Union. She was an avid animal lover and served as a volunteer for the local humane society. Mary enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with her family. She is well loved and will be deeply missed. 

Visitation will be held from 10 am - 11 am on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel. Funeral service will be officiated following the visitation at 11 am. Mary will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery following the service.
