Mary is fondly remembered as a loving and caring mother who held her family at the center of her life. She is survived by her brothers, Ronnie (Tina) Lowe, John (Catherine) Lowe, and Clifford (Vicki) Lowe; children, Collon (Theresa) Hicks and Tammy Hicks, who continue to carry forward her compassion and kindness. Mary’s legacy also lives on in her grandchildren, Brandy Domingo, Collon Hicks II, Jason (Laura) Hicks, and Shelly (Corey) Zumbrun, as well as her great-grandchildren, Amayah, Serina, Kian, Maliya, Chasity, Jason, Bradly, Elena, Everleigh, and Ezabelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. Clifford Lowe and Ethel G. Lowe and brother, Gary Lipscomb.

Throughout her life, Mary’s nurturing presence extended beyond her immediate family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding ways to show her affection and support. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, warmth, and delicious meals, a testament to her love of cooking. Mary’s talent in the kitchen brought joy to countless family gatherings, and her culinary skills were matched only by her passion for tending her garden. The flowers she so lovingly cared for became a vibrant reflection of her personality—thoughtful, patient, and full of life.

Mary’s dedication was not limited to family and home. She found simple joys in life, whether playing BINGO, indulging in scratch-off lottery tickets, or spoiling her beloved dog, Spook. These pastimes provided her with happiness and a touch of excitement, which she shared with those closest to her.

Mary was known as a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother whose thoughtful nature and giving spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her caring disposition and ability to make everyone feel valued will be missed dearly.

A visitation to honor Mary Jane Ford (Lowe) will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering, located at 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the same venue. Inurnment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Avenue, Dayton, OH 45409.

Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loving family and friends, as well as all who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
