Mary Ellen "Lovonne" Bennett

Mary Ellen "Lovonne" (Adkins) Bennett, age 93, of Fairborn, departed this life and entered into eternal life on Monday, June 23, 2025.

In 1951, she married James W. Bennett and they are survived by their nine children; James R. (Susia) Bennett, Deanna S. (John) Blakeley, L. Gregory Bennett, Karen (Roger) Bowling, Mary A. (Eugene) Bennett-McDaniel, Eddie A. (Tina) Bennett, Mark (Leslie) Bennett, Susan A. (John) Reece, Eddie A. (Tina) Bennett and Ruth M. (Terrence) Mahoney. Lovonne has 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Lovonne was born in Harlan, Kentucky on December 18, 1931. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Addie Adkins; brothers, Manus Adkins, Rodney Adkins, Eddie Adkins and Charles "Darrell" Adkins; as well as her two sisters, Wanda Hensley and Vauda "Bobbie" Foster.

Lovonne loved the Lord and her family and had a gentle and giving spirit. She was the most caring and loving woman.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Joel Getts officiating.

Lovonne will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery (118 Woodland Ave, Dayton) following the service.
