Mary Ehlers

Mary Elizabeth Ehlers, age 94, of Centerville, passed away February 11, 2016. She was born November 6, 1921 in Wheatland, PA.
Mary spent her life in service to others, including as a missionary nurse in Brazil. For 22 years she has been a volunteer at Good Neighbor House making "baby showers in a bag" for thousands of our youngest neighbors. She was an active member of Centerville 7th Day Adventist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gunther Ehlers; and five siblings.
Mary is survived by her brother, Romie (Ruth) Gainer; sister, Ellinor (Bill) Quigley; daughter, Marcia Ehlers; son, David (Rebekka) Ehlers; granddaughter Hannah Noelle Ehlers; special friends Ann Stevens and Amanda Huden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many caring friends.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Centerville SDA Church, 456 W. Spring Valley Pike Centerville, OH 45458. Mary's family will receive friends from 10-11 am at the church. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary's name to Good Neighbor House (attn: Building Fund); 627 E. First St. Dayton, OH 45402 or online @ www.goodneighborhouse.org.
