Mary Elaine Dysart, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 22, 1950, Mary lived a life rich with generosity and compassion, consistently extending her hand to those in need. Her warm spirit and boundless love for others left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Mary was a true dog-lover, finding joy and companionship in the many four-legged friends she welcomed into her home over the years. Each one brought new delights and comfort, and they were met with the same warmth and affection she offered to every person in her life. Among her cherished pets were Pepper, Pandi, Rodney, Bristol, and Brindle, all of whom now reside in her fondest memories.
An avid enthusiast of life’s simple pleasures, Mary found joy in seeking out the best deals at garage sales, always with a keen eye for hidden treasures. Her adventurous spirit also led her to the vibrant halls of the casino, where she could indulge her excitement for play. However, her greatest joy came from the time spent with her grandchildren, Edward E. Dysart III and Simon Dysart, and her bonus grandson, Amos Buckner. She cherished each moment she shared with them, nurturing their dreams and celebrating their achievements along the way.
Mary is survived by her loving son, Edward E. (Laurie) Dysart Jr., who carries her legacy forward with pride. She leaves behind not only her family but also a circle of beloved siblings: Sharon Kempton, Judy (Dave) Herzog, Everett (Carol) Clingman Jr., and Debbie Pope. Together with her many nieces, nephews, family, and friends, they will carry her memory in their hearts, drawing strength and inspiration from the kindness she exemplified throughout her life.
Preceding her in death were her devoted husband, Edward E. Dysart Sr., and her caring parents, Katherine and Everett Clingman Sr. Their shared memories, lives entwined through love and laughter, continue to resonate in the stories told about her remarkable journey.
Mary Elaine Dysart’s light will forever shine on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her legacy of generosity, joy, and family will remain a beacon of hope and warmth for all who knew her. Remembering her brings both tears and smiles, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 at The American Legion, Post 746, 7015 N Dixie Drive, in Dayton, Ohio.
