Mary Jane Corcoran, aged 73, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Huber Heights, Ohio. Born on July 18, 1952, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Mary Jane was a loving daughter of the late Donald and Constance Benoit. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1970, where she excelled on her high school tennis team, often demonstrating her competitive spirit by besting her husband, Stephen.
Mary Jane dedicated over 30 years of her professional life as an executive assistant for Premier Health Network, where she contributed her exceptional organizational skills and devoted work ethic, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She was not only known for her professional accomplishments but also for her nurturing, kind-hearted, and generous personality, serving as a matriarch in her family.
As a longstanding member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Mary Jane's faith played a central role in her life. She was deeply devoted to her beliefs and spent quality time with her family and friends, which was among her proudest achievements. Mary Jane loved to gather with loved ones, illustrating her very social nature. She actively engaged in teaching and playing piano and was an avid reader, embodying a spirit of lifelong learning and creativity.
Mary Jane will be sorely missed by her beloved husband of 54 years, Stephen Corcoran. She is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Corcoran and Sherry Richards, and four grandchildren, Ryan (Blake), Alex (Ginna), Matthew Helton, and Sophie Richards. Additionally, she leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Carter and Levi Helton; two siblings, Jeannie Mullen and Peter Benoit; two aunts, Therese Benoit and Jeanne Cote; an uncle, Paul Toussaint; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished her dearly.

Visitation will take place on August 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in North Dayton, Ohio. A Mass will be held in her honor on August 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huber Heights, Ohio, followed by interment. Guest are invited back to the Fehrenbach Hall at St. Peter Catholic Church for a luncheon around 1 pm. Mary Jane Corcoran's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
