Martha Zimmerman

Zimmerman, Molly (Martha Clark) - age 60 of Kettering- succumbed on 12/3 to complications following surgery on 11/5- graduate of Centerville HS and the College of Cincinnati at UC with a degree in Early Childhood Teaching and attended The OSU. Worked at several different pre-schools, last being Kettering's Path Finders and Even Start Program. She loved sewing and used it to be very creative. Molly was known for making Raggedy Ann's (large ones at UC) and Andy's and assisted her Mother in making Drill Team Dolls for the students of numerous schools. She worked at different fabric and sewing stores and managed a Monique. At one point, she worked for her Father as his secretary. In addition to sewing, she knitted, and in the last few years became an avid reader. Molly was a devoted wife, daughter, step-mother, and sister. The biggest joys in her life were her 2 grandsons and her 5 nieces and nephew. She had many great friends. She was fascinated with turtles and had an unbelievable collection of stuffed bears. Life was not always kind to her especially when she developed kidney disease (09) and the going on dialysis. She was preceded in death by Stephen (brother in 93) and Clara Clark (Mother in 2012). She is survived by Tad- husband of 26 years, Dane-step-son, Zachary (10) and Andrew (6)- grandsons, William B Clark-Father, Thomas-brother and his daughters Haley, Whitney, Carrie, and Meredith-all of CT, and Scott (Kendra)- brother and his daughter Courtney (Chris) and son Adam- all of Northern KY. Also, important to her were Mary (dog), Matilda (cat) and Art (fish)! There will be no visitation or viewing. There will be a service to rejoice in her life at Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Kettering on Monday 12/9 at 11:00 AM conducted by Denise Weaver, followed by a gathering immediately following in the church. Donations: Make a Wish, SISCA, or the Humane Society. Arrangements made through Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel.
