Marlo Jean Sigler, age 87 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 6, 2024. She was born September 6, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Ormond and Dorothy Kelso.
Marlo was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout Christian. She loved being an artist, whether painting, quilting, knitting, cross stitching, and crocheting. She worked in various jobs over time making wonderful friends along the way. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a talented baker making her signature, bread pudding. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents Marlo was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ray Sigler; brother, Richard O. (Barbara) Kelso.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (George) Wacks, William Scroggins, Melanie (Nancy) Seibel, and Michelle (Kent) Hickey; step children, Sharyl Cowan, Catherine Murrell, and Orville (Tere) Sigler Jr.; grandchildren, Patrick (Margot) Wacks, Daniel (Brooke) Wacks, Joshua Scroggins, Shawn Scroggins, Sydney (Justin) Alexander, Mitchell (Ashley) Sigler, Matthew (Bobbi) Hickey, Michael Hickey, Kristopher Hickey, Abigail Hickey; James Keeney, Kelley (John) Bliznak, Jerry (Sandra) Pruitt, Robert (Angel) Cowan, Daniel (Amanda) Cowan, Christina Perdue, Ryan (Cindy) Murrell, Corey, and Scott; 26 great grandchildren; nieces, Kathryn (Gary) Stewart and Wendy (Tom) Ray; nephew, David (Lynne) Kelso; special friend, Wanda Hinton; several nieces, nephews, cousins; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7700 Dog Leg Rd, Dayton, OH 45414. A celebration of life service will begin at 2:30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Newcomer Funeral Home North Dayton is assisting with arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made in Marlo's honor to Hospice of Dayton.
