Marlene J. Dahlinghaus, age 85 of Kettering, OH passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at home. She was born November 3, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to Wilbur and Elsie (Dugan) Vorhees. Marlene married Vernon Dahlinghaus on November 3,1951 in Indiana.
Marlene worked at Slyder's Tavern and Dot's Market. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church for over 60 years and attended mass regularly. Marlene enjoyed bowling, bingo and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, and enjoyed visiting Disney World. She loved her dogs and granddogs. Marlene loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Marlene is survived by two sons, Steven A. (Donna) Dahlinghaus, Richard A. (Janice) Dahlinghaus; three daughters, Karen S. Dahlinghaus, Lori J. (Edward) Wolff, Jill M. Dahlinghaus; five grandchildren, Thomas (Wendi) Dahlinghaus, Amy M. Williams, Eddie Wolff, Josephine and Elsie Dahlinghaus; five great grandchildren, Melanie, Jason, Evan, Josh and Kaela; a brother, Roland (Barbara) Vorhees; and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Vernon.

A visitation will be held on August 31, 2018 from 9:15 to 10:15 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 South Smithville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45420 . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at the church at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
