Marlene C. Morey Hancock (Carns), age 88, born August 19, 1928 peacefully passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Martha Carns; husband John Morey; second husband George Hancock and brother Mervin Carns. Marlene is survived by her daughter Deborah (Richard) Conklin; two sons John Morey and David Morey; three granddaughters, their spouses; six great grandchildren and sister Frances (Kenneth) Severt. Marlene was a graduate of Northridge High School and a longtime member of St. John's UCC. She worked at Diamond Tool for over 20 years, was an avid ballroom dancer and loved to watch "her" Reds play ball. Marlene will always be remembered for her gracious and loving personality and the abundance of kindness with all who met her. The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at David's UCC on David's Road in Kettering, Ohio from 2pm-3pm with a memorial service to follow at 3pm. Burial will take place at a later date at Dayton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in her honor.
