Mark S. Armstrong

Mark Steven Armstrong, age 57, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 7, 2026.

Mark most recently worked as a barber and auto detailer, using his hands and heart to serve others with care and pride. He was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life, and he was deeply loved as a father, son, brother, and grandfather.

Mark will be remembered for the joy he found in life’s simple blessings. He loved listening to music, cutting hair, cooking meals for those he cared about, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him his greatest happiness. He was also a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan and never missed the chance to cheer on his team.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Armstrong; his brother, Michael Armstrong; and his grandmother, Louise Kohlbeck.

Mark is survived by his mother, Daisy Wilks; ex-wife, Pamela Armstong; his children, Brittany Franklin, Mark Armstrong Jr., and Mycol Lewis; and his cherished grandchildren, Christropher Cottrell, Tyrell Lewis, Teaunn Hunter, Javion Lewis, Josiah Hunter, Mya Lewis, Justin Lewis, Malik Lewis, Isaiah Frye, Sincere Armstrong, and Aubrielle Franklin. He is also survived by his sister, Robin Spears; his nephew, Sterling Spears; and his dedicated friends, Anthony Windsor and Alfonzo Johnson. Mark also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will continue to carry his memory with love.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424.

Mark’s services will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
