Mark M. Mussman, born on May 1, 1962, in Clinton, Iowa, has left this world on September 22, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, after a prolonged illness. Mark lived a life marked by generosity, kindness, and an infectious spirit of joy.

Trained as a computer-aided draftsman, Mark's professional journey took him through esteemed companies including Boeing, Spartan Electronics, and Vaper System Technology. His career was characterized by precision and creativity, reflecting the same attributes that defined his personal life.

Mark exemplified an upbeat and caring personality, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. He found great joy in the company of his beloved dogs, Baby and Smooch, who were constant companions in his life. Outside of work, he had diverse interests that brought him immense pleasure. He loved fishing and immersed himself in the thrilling world of computer gaming. A devoted fan of Iowa football, he cherished the camaraderie and excitement that came with being a part of its community. A true culinary enthusiast, Mark enjoyed making cheesecakes, fudge, and homemade ice cream, sharing these delights with all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Mark proudly served his country as a member of the security police in the U.S. Air Force, a testament to his commitment to service and dedication.

Left to remember and honor his legacy are his son, Jonathan (Jasmine) Mathis-Mussman; mother, Idelette Mussman; brother, Michael Mussman; sister, Jackie (Randy) Bellman; granddaughters, Jenelle Mathis-Mussman and Serenity Mussman; nephews, RJ Bellman, Kevin (Aniko) Mussman, and Royce Mussman; nieces, Shawna (Scott) Housey and Sarah (Cody) Hendricks.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Mussman, and his sister-in-law, Mi Suk Mussman.

As friends and family come together to mourn his passing, they will forever cherish the warm memories and joyous moments shared with Mark. His spirit will continue to resonate in their hearts, reminding all of the gift of love and laughter he bestowed upon those fortunate enough to know him. 

Mark will be laid to rest at Rock Island National Cemetery in Arsenal, Illinois.
