Mark Mattison, 67, passed away on May 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many through his generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help those around him. He was known for his strength of character, his caring heart, and the positive impact he made on his community and loved ones.
Mark Mattison was a multi-sport standout athlete who attended Jefferson Township High School and Miami University of Ohio. From an early age, he displayed remarkable athletic talent, earning recognition as an All-American athlete. His dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit distinguished him both on and off the field, and he carried those qualities throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters, Tamara Mattison, Alisa Mattison, Tracy Mattison Brandon, and Karla Merchant Parrish(sister at heart); longtime partner, Dawn Preyor; Megan Halpin, whom he loved as a daughter; a host of nieces and nephews; special cousins and friends; Jefferson Township Class of 1977; and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his passing leaves a profound void, his love and influence will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory by sharing stories, remembering cherished moments, and carrying forward the kindness and generosity that defined his life.
