Mark Anthony Dunn, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 16, 1956, in Dayton, Mark grew up to become a beacon of light and kindness to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mark was known for his infectious sense of humor and his playful personality. A true jokester at heart, he delighted in sharing laughter and joy with friends and family, often playing light-hearted jokes that would catch people off guard but always bring forth smiles. His laid-back demeanor and charm were qualities that endeared him to everyone who crossed his path.
He was proud to own and operate his own business, "Mark's Home Improvements." Mark took immense pride in his work, earning the respect and gratitude of his clients through his dedication and the quality of his craft. Known as a "Mr.-Fix-It," he possessed an undeniable talent for turning visions into reality, and his skills extended beyond his profession. He was often seen tinkering with his own projects or lending a helping hand to loved ones in need, proving time and time again that he was the go-to person for any home-related challenges.
In addition to his passion for home improvement, Mark had several interests that brought him great joy. He was an avid NASCAR fan, always following the races with enthusiasm. His loyalty extended to the Ohio State University and the Cincinnati Bengals, where he cheered for his teams unapologetically. Mark also found solace in collecting gemstone eggs, a hobby that reflected his appreciation for beauty in all forms.
Mark's personality traits were a testament to his loving nature. He was meticulous about his surroundings, maintaining an immaculate lawn (no sticks allowed on his lawn!) and ensuring his vehicles were always in pristine condition. His attention to details did not hinder his capability to be the warm-hearted individual who cared deeply for those he loved. He had a special place in his heart for his family. He truly embodied dedication and caring, always putting the needs of others before his own.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Colette Dunn, whom he adored. They enjoyed traveling and concerts at The Fraze. Colette was his rock as he battled his last years with cancer. He leaves behind two lovely daughters, Nikki (Bobby) Kosins and Kristina "Krissy" (Justin White) Beale, who are proud to carry on his legacy. His cherished grandchildren—Eli, Addie, Ella, Olivia, Keragen, and Karsen—brought him countless moments of joy, laughter, and love. Mark is also survived by his dear sister, Claudine (Morris) Bowles, along with many other loving family members and friends who were all touched by his kindness and generosity.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mavis Dunn, whose love and guidance helped shape the wonderful man he became.
