Marjorie E Miller

04/03/1931 - 09/15/2020

Marge (Cassell) Miller, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Preceded in death by husband Richard, she is survived by their three children; Steve (and Debbie) Miller, Dave (and Margret) Miller, Sally (and Jimmy) Lambert and 6 Grandchildren; Jeff (and Anthony), Jason, Nichole, Danny (and Brittany), Scott (and Cat) and Shane. Marge was born and raised in Fredericktown, OH. A long time resident of Grove City, Marge delighted in being a mom. She was active in school activities including PTA and Band Boosters. She was quite proud of the title Band Mom. She always encouraged academics and her passion for reading is a legacy her offspring deeply appreciate.

The family enjoyed camping, boating and (later on) winter skiing. This often included Hobe (her brother) and Donna Cassell, nieces and nephews. Marge had a personal interest in a number of crafts. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, cake decorating, reupholstering furniture and rug hooking. She knitted afghans, sweaters, scarves and caps for family and friends. Marge enjoyed playing piano and music in all forms.

You could always find a pet or two in the house. There were two collies and a number of cats. Sassy and Mischief were empty nest cats who adapted to camping and other pursuits as they were rarely left at home.

They discovered the joy of southern winters after retirement. They spent many winters on the Texas gulf coast at Pioneer RV Beach Resort near Port Aransas, TX. New friendships were made and their children took full advantage of mid winter visits. Marge became an avid bingo player at the recreation hall.

There will be a private family service in the future. No services are planned at this time.
