Marjorie "Marge" Bakosh

Marjorie "Marge" Bakosh, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on May 17, 2025, in West Carrollton, Ohio. Born on May 16, 1936, in Barnesville, Ohio, Marge led a life characterized by her unwavering faith and love for music, particularly in her role as a long-time member of the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene choir. Her passion for attending church and participating in choir performances brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Marge cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her three devoted sons, Rick Bakosh and his wife Gretchen, Dennis Bakosh and his wife Kim, and Scott Bakosh and his wife Angie. She was the proud grandmother of Shawn Frydrak and his wife Stephanie; Jarrhett Bakosh, Bridgette Cohen, Taylor Bakosh, Alaynah Stone, Emily Newberry, Chris Newberry, Nathan Tragesser, Hannah Bakosh, Zack Bakosh, Madison Bakosh, and Charlee Bakosh, as well as eleven great-grandchildren who brought her much happiness. Additionally, Marge is survived by her brother, Bill Shepherd, and had numerous friends and extended family who will remember her fondly.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis Bakosh, along with her daughters, Linda Frydrak and Leslie Bakosh, and brother Bob Shepherd. These losses were profound, yet Marge continued to inspire those around her with her resilience and grace.

Marge's life will be celebrated with a visitation on May 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, both taking place at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio. Marge will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.

Marge's warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her kind spirit, love of family, and dedication to her faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
