Marjorie H. Andrews, age 91 of Kettering, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born February 18, 1932 in Durham Centre, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Helen Jane Harvie (Steeves/McCurdy) and James William Steeves.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Andrews and brother Allison Steeves.
Marjorie is survived by 2 daughters Susan (Kevin) Dittmar and Laurie (Joseph) Gray; grandchildren Jennifer, Katherine, and Andrew Dittmar, all of Phoenix, Arizona.
Marjorie went to nursing school in Dalhousie, New Brunswick then moved to Montreal, Quebec where she met John in 1961. They were married in Nash Creek, New Brunswick and moved to the United States shortly after their wedding as John had previously committed to join the U.S. Air Force.
After leaving the service, Marjorie and her family settled in Kettering, Ohio to be near special "family" Patricia and Robert Metzger and their children Christine (Steve) Wagoner and Greg Metzger. Marjorie was a nurse at St Elizabeth Medical Center for 30 years.
The family wishes to thank Celia Ferdiny for being such a godsend to Marjorie and for the constant love and support of the Metzger, Wagoner, and Ferdiny families.
No service is planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
